Welcome to our Neighborhood We are a group of Boer Goat and Meat Goat enthusiasts, exhibitors and producers who have organized to serve, support, and advance the meat goat industry in Indiana, as well as promote and support youth activities within our industry.
Our goal is to bring Indiana's meat goat producers and others interested in learning about and supporting the goat industry together. We believe that by working together we can be more effective in our individual marketing endeavors as well as provide support and educational opportunities for the young eshibitors and producers within the meat goat neighborhood.

Research has shown that youngsters who are involved in projects such as the ones we support are less likely to indulge in the self-destructive behavior prevalent in today's society. We believe that by offering these kinds of activities we can offer support to the kids and their families who would like to learn more about livestock in general, and the Boer goat. Our goal is to provide educational opportunities in a fun environment that will shape the attitudes and behavior of our exhibitors throughout their lives. To that end we do our best to keep our junior shows non-political and encourage the practice of good showmanship and respect for our partners, both four and two legged, in the showring.

Anyone raising meat goats, either as a commercial producer, or breeding stock or show stock producer should visit the American Meat Goat Association website. This organization is the one that helps give you a voice on a national level and provides information about what is happening in markets and at a Federal legislative level.
It is the only meat goat producers organization recognized by US Regulatory Agencies. The AMGA also helps educate the general public about the benefits of the product we produce, and membership comes with a free copy of the Goat Rancher magazine.
